Welcome to Light on the Hill Ministries (“Light on the Hill Ministries,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lightonthehillministries.org (the “Website”), including any content, resources, accounts, communications, and services made available through the Website.
By accessing or using the Website, creating an account, submitting information, or using resources provided through the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.
1. About Light on the Hill Ministries
Light on the Hill Ministries is a Montana-based nonprofit Christian ministry and a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The purpose of this Website is to educate, encourage, equip, and connect individuals with the ministry, its Christian teachings, resources, activities, and community.
The Website may provide publicly available content, educational resources, communications, and other ministry services. Additional features, including membership programs, event registration, online donations, and products, may be offered in the future.
2. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time as the Website, ministry, or applicable legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we may update the “Effective Date” at the beginning of these Terms. Your continued use of the Website after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
3. Eligibility and Use of the Website
The Website is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age.
You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

-
Attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Website, another user's account, or any system connected to the Website;
-

-
Introduces malicious software, viruses, or other harmful code;
-
Impersonates another person or organization;

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Website or any account that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or threatens the safety, security, or integrity of the Website or ministry community.
4. Accounts
Certain features of the Website may require you to create an account.
When creating an account, you agree to provide information that is accurate and current and to keep that information updated when reasonably necessary.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.

5. Membership and Member Features
Light on the Hill Ministries may offer membership programs, member accounts, or member-only resources through the Website.
If membership features become available, additional information regarding eligibility, application or approval requirements, fees, membership duration, renewal, cancellation, available resources, and other applicable terms will be provided at or before the time membership is offered.
Membership may be limited in availability and may be subject to approval by Light on the Hill Ministries.
Website account registration and ministry membership are separate concepts. Creating an account on the Website does not, by itself, constitute membership in Light on the Hill Ministries as a nonprofit organization.
If membership features are offered, membership access and benefits will be personal to the individual member and may not be transferred or shared with another person unless expressly permitted by Light on the Hill Ministries.
Light on the Hill Ministries reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue membership programs, member benefits, or member-only resources at any time, subject to applicable law and any specific terms presented to members at the time of enrollment.
We may suspend or terminate access to a Website account or membership for violations of these Terms, misuse of ministry resources, unauthorized sharing of restricted content, fraudulent activity, or other conduct that reasonably threatens the Website, ministry, or community.
6. Ministry Resources and Educational Content
The Website may provide Bible studies, articles, teachings, videos, audio materials, downloadable resources, devotional materials, educational resources, and other Christian content.
These materials are provided for general spiritual, educational, informational, and ministry purposes.
Our content reflects the beliefs, teachings, interpretations, and perspectives of Light on the Hill Ministries and the individuals contributing to our ministry.
We encourage visitors to prayerfully consider and independently evaluate spiritual teaching and to study Scripture for themselves.
7. Biblical and Spiritual Teaching Disclaimer
Light on the Hill Ministries seeks to provide Christian teaching and biblical education consistent with our ministry's beliefs and purposes.
However, biblical interpretation and matters of faith can involve differences of interpretation among individuals, churches, denominations, and Christian traditions.
Nothing on this Website should be understood as a guarantee that a particular interpretation, spiritual practice, prayer, teaching, or recommendation will produce a particular result in your life.
The Website and its resources are intended to encourage and educate, not to replace a person's responsibility to exercise personal judgment, seek appropriate counsel, study Scripture, and make decisions according to their own circumstances and convictions.
8. No Professional Advice
Nothing provided through this Website constitutes medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, financial, tax, investment, employment, or other professional advice.
Our biblical and spiritual resources are not intended to establish a professional-client relationship of any kind.
If you have a medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional concern, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
In particular, prayer, spiritual encouragement, biblical teaching, or ministry communication should not be considered a substitute for emergency services or professional care.
9. Prayer Requests and User Submissions
The Website may allow users to submit prayer requests, testimonials, questions, comments, stories, or other information (“User Submissions”).
Prayer requests may be handled in one of two ways depending on the options presented when the request is submitted:
-
Private prayer requests may be made available only to authorized ministry personnel or designated members of a ministry prayer team; or
-
Shared prayer requests may be made available to a broader prayer community when the individual submitting the request affirmatively chooses or authorizes that option.
We will not represent a prayer request as private if the submission process clearly indicates that the request will be shared.
You should exercise care when submitting information and should not submit information that you do not want the ministry to receive or that is unnecessarily sensitive.
You should never submit passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account information, or other highly sensitive information through a prayer request or general Website form.
If you submit information concerning another person, you should have appropriate permission to share that information.
By submitting content to us, you represent that you have the right to submit it.
Additional information about how Light on the Hill Ministries collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property and Copyright
Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and its original content—including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, audio recordings, written materials, downloadable resources, designs, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Light on the Hill Ministries and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

If you would like permission for a use that is not clearly allowed by these Terms, contact us at cheyennesummer@lightonthehillministries.org.

These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes.

A link to another website does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation.
Your use of third-party websites and services is governed by the terms and policies of those third parties.
13. Future Events, Donations, and Purchases
Light on the Hill Ministries may offer event registration, online donations, products, merchandise, or other services through the Website in the future.
When those services become available, additional terms, policies, instructions, refund policies, cancellation policies, or transaction-specific disclosures may apply.

14. Donations
Any donation made through the Website must be made voluntarily and for the purposes represented at the time of the donation.
Where applicable, donation transactions may be processed through independent third-party payment providers. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Although we take reasonable measures to maintain the security of the Website, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You acknowledge that you use the Website at your own risk and agree to take reasonable precautions to protect your account credentials and devices.
We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Your violation of these Terms;

Your violation of applicable law.
This provision does not require you to indemnify Light on the Hill Ministries for claims caused by the organization's own unlawful conduct where such indemnification is prohibited by law.
22. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website or your account if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in harmful or unlawful activity, or otherwise misused the Website.
We may also discontinue Website features, programs, or services for operational, ministry, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
Upon termination, provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law—will continue to apply.

The Website is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
Individuals under 18 should not create an account or submit information through account-based features of the Website.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
27. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
28. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms specifically applicable to particular services, events, purchases, memberships, or other features, constitute the agreement between you and Light on the Hill Ministries regarding your use of the Website.
